Hightech Region Stuttgart

Worldwide, governments, enterprises and joint initiatives are investing in fuel cells. By deploying this emerging technology, they hope to tap into new market potential, and master the challenges of the transportation and energy sectors. More specifically, fuel cells will play a key role in a future hydrogen economy – and in making this vision
a reality.

The Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation (WRS) is actively involved in promoting this technology. Working hand in hand with its partners, the WRS aims to position the Stuttgart Region as a world leader in fuel-cell and hydrogenenergy technology. With its dedicated long-term programme, the WRS is helping establish the region as a major centre of fuel-cell development and production –
and increasing the area’s attractiveness for all relevant players. Collaborative projects and partnerships with organisations
across the globe support these activities, and benefit everyone involved.
